Julia Weston

Julia Weston is an illustrator and art educator specialising in children’s publishing. Her career includes work for BBC Good Food magazine and publications such as Prima, Country Living, What Diet & Lifestyle, Wine Magazine, as well as Cambridge University Press. After moving to Japan in 1996, Julia was represented by Grade One and Asterisk Illustration Agencies, illustrating for NOVA Publishing and creating ABC Bridge, a monthly cartoon series that helped young children learn English for the Nagasaki Newspaper. Now based in Australia, she illustrates children’s books including the Trudie Cooper Super Foodie trilogy and Rose Grows Veggies, using expressive watercolour, pencil, and crayon to bring warmth, humour, and narrative depth to her work.
