Maddie Yates

I am a 23-year-old illustrator, living in Melbourne. My artwork is largely mixed media and commonly features flowers, animals, patterns and portraits. By using a collage of textures, colours, mediums, script and mediums, my work takes on a distinctly crafty, scrapbook-like look. Warm tones, sketchy lines and girlish motifs conjure a feeling of softness and nostalgia in my work. My interests range from book illustration and textile design to tattoo art and poster design.
