I am an Australian illustrator and traditional-media artist specialising in children’s books and narrative non-fiction, with a particular interest in history, technology and the natural world. I recently completed illustrating a 32-page picture book for Amicus Ink, and I am keen to collaborate with publishers, writers and designers on story-driven, research-led and educational projects.
My practice is shaped by a background in both bookselling and design. I previously owned Embiggen Books and worked as a bookseller and buyer at the world’s oldest children’s bookshop, The Little Bookroom. Two of my picture-book projects have been selected for the Dpictus Unpublished Picturebook Showcase. I spent several years in London working across publishing and brand design, including roles at Interbrand and Wolff Olins.
I now focus on hand-painted illustration that supports long-form storytelling for children and young readers, particularly projects exploring real-world subjects, adventure and complex ideas.
